It works with any IMAP host, with Microsoft 365 over OAuth, and with Gmail using an app password. The mailbox has to look untouched afterwards in Outlook or webmail, and that rule decides the implementation: reading never marks a message as read, a send files exactly one copy in Sent, a delete moves to Trash rather than destroying anything, a draft is saved where another client can open and edit it, a move keeps flags and the internal date, and folders resolve by their special-use flag instead of by name. The same rule lets it archive and report spam: both are roles rather than folder names, each provider puts them somewhere different, and Gmail has no archive folder at all, so archiving there drops the inbox label instead. It also answers the question that comes after a send. check_bounces parses the delivery report and says whether an address failed permanently or is still being retried, and check_receipts reports whether a message was opened, including when the honest answer is that nothing came back. Where the owner has also connected a diary, and that is a separate step from connecting the mailbox, the same connector gains calendar tools: reading and searching events, checking when a group is free, booking and moving your own time, inviting people and cancelling properly, answering an invitation or proposing another time, and reading or setting the out-of-office reply.
